Crazy Conservative Quote Of The Week!
September 12th 2008 01:54
Well today it's a no-brainer. Sarah Palin gave her first interview with the ABC's Charlie Gibson. Naturally, in these dangerous times he asked her about the issue of National Security and how and why she is qualified. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at her response:
GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?
PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.
BAHAHAHAHAHA!! Ahahahaaha. Ahahahah. Hahhaaaa!
Ahahahaha!!! HAHAHAHAHA!
Oh....okay, I got it. It's under control....hahahaha!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Bahahaha...HAHA!!!!!!!!!!
ha... haha....haaaaaah...
Shit.
She may be leader of the free world one day.

p.s. And i thought Cindy McCain was off her head when she said this. I had no idea it was actually an official party platform. Seriously guys, I think we all need to book our one way tickets to the moon pretty quick smart.

I clicked on that link and the section of the interview that I quoted was not at all edited. That was the full response she gave to that question. She thinks that being able to see Russia from some island on Alaska gives her "insight" into foreign policy.
And it seems to me that much of what the ABC edited out was Palin repeating herself- saying that Alaska is close to Russia, stressing that she does not want another Cold War but then freely stating that she would be prepared to go to war with her "closest neighbour".
If you ask me, I think he was too easy on her. The woman has no concept of world politics and seems incapable of giving a direct answer on anything.
Sorry but my opinion still stands. She is too crazy and scary for words. I imagine she will be providing me with "crazy conservative quote of the week" fodder for at least the next four years. Yes, I think she has just won the election for McCain. I hope I am wrong.
You'd think your country would have learned something from the Bush disaster of the last 8 years. Apparently not. .

About the issue of war, she CORRECTLY stated that members of NATO were expected to come to the defense of fellow NATO nations. Even in doing so, she stressed diplomacy and other measures as solutions.
Palin's not Bush. McCain's not Bush. Obama has been trying to push that line for months, but most of the country is not buying it and Obama is losing ground. It is only selling with the uber-liberals and they were always going to vote for Obama anyway. Obama is a condescending empty suit who is just on a power grab and he is the most liberal person to run for prez in the history of the US. Personally, I strongly dislike McCain, but I loathe Obama. I'll probably go with a third party candidate. I do like Palin, though. And the press and the Democrats are practically handing the election to McCain by treating her with such derision. It just shows us how absolutely stupid and self-defeating the press is.
