MY 59TH POST!!!

June 18th 2008 13:31

Can you tell I'm excited?!?!?!

Just this morning I was admiring my own Orble profile page and I got to noticing that I had written 58 posts!!! Wow!!! That deserves at least three more exclamation marks!!!

So that got me thinking, if I have already written 58 posts…that must make this, the post I am now writing and you are now reading MY 59th POST!!! That’s a very special number because it’s one less than 60, but more importantly, it’s one more than 58. Holy, moly, aren’t I clever? Don’t I just deserve your eternal adulation?

Of course, everyone knows that what you write in your blog is nowhere near as important as how often you write it, so don’t congratulate me on my intelligence or wit or anything as unimportant as that. Just give me all your karma points despite the fact I have just wasted five minutes of your life by talking about inane rubbish.

Hey, if I write another 1 billion posts, I’ll be as good at blogging as McDonald’s is at serving sub-par hamburgers.

QUANTITY NOT QUALITY!!!!!!

And more exclamation marks than you can poke an inverted comma at!!!!!!

oh you can have my karma points any time!
i throw them around like easter eggs . . . spread the love!
as Colbert would say "they criticise what you say but they never give you credit for how LOUD you say it . . . or how LONG you say it" hahaha
i think owls are a waste of time lol
bears are giant marauding godless killing machines LOL
sorry, im obsessed with the oreilly factor youtubes lately

Hahaha, Morgan, I knew I could rely on you! All in good fun. I just think people's obsession with numbers and milestones are really funny.

Can we just feed your show into my ear???
hahaha.

How awesome was Colbert?

I capture them in the headlights of my justice.

BAHAHAHahahaha i love it . . . i play it over and over!
the headlights of my justice!
classic!

i think people like commenting on milestones as its an easy comments, not much thought just a "well done" to maintain your karma . . . i noticed alot of people really like my "three more cents" post where i approached $10 on adsense . . . sometimes its good to post a milestone so all the shy people say hello!

or to indulge your own vanity . . .

or to mock the system within which you operate! haha

Ah if it was anyone else I probably would have let it go...but as soon as i read it, this post was writing itself and i just couldn't resist...especially because three quarters of her posts are about two paragraphs long with a REALLY LONG LINK and no analysis whatsoever. Forgive me if I am not impressed.

oh speaking of no analysis (or very little), i thought i should post something about discrimination to PADSOC while PoMo is away . . . its an open-ended piece on how new laws are adversely affecting Christians in the USA

Really Long Link

"and by we i mean me"
"i want to bring your meassage of love and peace to a younger audience - people in their 50s and 60s"
HAHAHAHAHA

Hi jeff, thanks for the points...I'm glad my cohorts in the Mutual Appreciation Society can see the significance of 59 blog posts, even if no-one else does.

Colbert rocks hey?

It's the New York Times Bill! They hate George Bush, of course they're going to hate you! They're haters Bill

You're right, Morgan....they can both draw emotion and make you laugh, and you get the added plus of getting to throw up if you sit through an hour of Billo! I will check in on him once in awhile, but can only take a few minutes...Kieth Olbermann plays alot of Billo's most idiotic segments, so I can catch them there...As for Colibert, it still has the ability to surprise you at just how good it is....funny, there are still some out there who think ..Colbert is a right winger playing it straight. Some people!

Ah, you noticed my misquote.

That is quite possibly one of the funniest lines I have ever heard.

How on earth he keeps that straight face I do not know.

Of course, my favourite Colbert quote has to be "reality has a liberal bias"

Yea, since you got me on the waiting for gold to heal him thing on the other blog....haha

Oh I see, playing that game huh?

I just thought it was funny because it was so apt. Waiting for god to heal you or waiting for gold to heal you, at the end of the day it amounts to pretty much the same thing.

Actually my favourite typo was when SL said to me:

"As usual Ruby, you are making so sense whatsover"

Oh I was giggling over that one for days...weeks...actually it still cracks me up. She took it well when I threw it back at her. It was one of those rare occasions when I actually almost lilked her.

Belated congrats on your prolific output, Ruby.

My wife and I are huge fans of Stewart and Colbert, and we have our DVR set to record the shows every night. It's really a shame that you don't get them in Oz, as they are always funny and frequently hilarious (as well as being much more relevant than parody shows have any right to be!)
