Episode 1: Bringing Back The Dark Ages
Why should Palin not be elected to the White House?
Because witches do not exist.
Because 'witch hunts' should be a metaphorical term.
Because superstition should play no part in world politics.
Because, in some parts of the world, some women (and men) are still hunted down, tortured and killed for being 'witches' and I don't see how a politician who clearly endorses the mentality that leads to such things has any business making decisions on issues that affect women or anything else for that matter.
Because this is not a joke. That pastor blessing Palin is Thomas Muttee who according to the
Times Online "founded his ministry on a witch hunt against a Kenyan woman who he accused of causing car accidents through demonic spells".
Because Palin thinks Muttee is "awesome" and is responsible for getting her elected Governor of Alaska:
"As I was mayor and Pastor Muthee was here and he was praying over me, and you know how he speaks and he’s so bold. And he was praying “Lord make a way, Lord make a way...And I’m thinking, this guy’s really bold, he doesn’t even know what I’m going to do, he doesn’t know what my plans are. And he’s praying not “oh Lord if it be your will may she become governor,” no, he just prayed for it. He said “Lord make a way and let her do this next step. And that’s exactly what happened.”
Because she is a religious extremist who is going to take the world in the exact opposite direction that it needs to go.
Because if it had been Obama in that video, Fox News would have been all over him like a rash and there is no way he would even still be in the race. Double standards must stop now!
Because this is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever witnessed. Keep her safe from witches. Really? Keep her safe from witches?. Is this a political election or a Roald Dahl novel gone horribly wrong?
You can't make this stuff up. You just can't.

seriously, this stuff spins me out. surely she knows what this guy preaches. like seriously, witchcraft? And I'm not talking Fiona Horne, sexy white witch stuff. This guy encourages lynch mobs. people are getting chopped up and burned to death. what a crazy world.
i would say its equal parts crazy politician and crazy pastor.

As far as the evidence we have so far shows, Palin has not only not distanced herself from Mutthee, but is actually continuing to praise him. That's the difference. And that's what freaks me out about her being so close to leading the free world. Witch hunts, praying for god to turn gay people straight, praying that the Iraq war is part of God's plan. Arrrrgh. I thought the western world was past this. I guess not.

I dont know how to stop the western world from its (very plausible) oblivion, I have not followed the progress of the elections to know if there is a real threat to Obama or not? In light of this post, I hope not ... but do you think the people's sympathies will run with this nonsence?
To the side for a moment : I have worked out how to stop the Jehovah's (and unwanted family) from knocking on my door ..
