Where Have All The Great Minds Gone?

October 21st 2008 13:10
Bad news my fellow Orblers. It seems our blogging community is in an intellectual recession. There are only two Great Minds left on Orble and before you ask, no I am not one of them. Apparently all the other Great Minds have gone on to greener pastures. If any of you Great Minds are reading this, (not that you would having long since betrayed the other two Great Minds by finding something else to do with your life), can you please throw Orble's only two remaining Great Minds a line so they can find you and join you? I'm sure they'd really appreciate it and you'd kinda be doing the rest of us a favour too.

Failing that are there any other Great Minds out there who can fill this gaping void in the Orble intellectual spectrum? If so just leave a comment down below. But before you do just allow me to inform you that in order to be a Great Mind you must be:

1. Male

2. Catholic

3. Pro-Life

Everyone else need not apply.

Editorial Comment:

Q: Ruby you are a hateful bigot. What do you have against Great Minds?

A: Their pompous self-importance shits me to tears.
Also if you actually have to tell other people you have a Great Mind...then you probably don't.

oh man that was funny . . . like it started off with a smile and by the time i scrolled down to the Editorial Comment i was it stitches!

its really hard to find a "great mind", you have to be dismissive, condescending, say "moot" alot . . .

youve gotta hate women, youve gotta hate Carl Sagan, Nietzsche, and the United Nations . . . and above all youve gotta never EVER admit that you are religious because you are such a bad representative

youve gotta be "the voice of reason" whilst somehow never EVER uttering a reasonable word

like seriously, its mega hard . . . no wonder the two remaining "great minds" lament the past so

Bahahaha. alt_ed you caught me as I was in the process of deleting the superfluous repeat posts. I guess I really, really wanted to get this message across.

Morgan,

MOOT MOOT MOOT!

oh no hold on, I am neither 1, 2 nor 3. Nope my mind is, at best, Slightly Above Average I'm afraid.

I really do think Orble would be better if there were a few more Concupiscent Minds around myself.. I mean sure, great minds can be great; but they're so damn needy... A concupiscent mind on the other hand- Wham! Bham! and before you know it your weak at the knees haha

I used to have a Great Mind, but then I traded it in for a Ford Falcon.

Hi Cibb,

Ford Falcon. Really? Now a Holden Commodore I could understand....

Hi Arnathi,

You know I always thought that if I wrote an insignificant blog that another insignificant blogger did not approve of, I would be really hurt and offended.

How wrong I was.

p.s there are over 5000 blogs on Orble, I'm sure if you keep searching you'll find something more to your liking....or not. perhaps you can leave nasty messages on all of them?

p.p.s most people wait until they have been on Orble for at least a week before they start putting other people down. But you're going for a record. I can dig that.

Your post was in the most popular list. The title led me to believe it was going to be a philosphical discussion, not a bitch session.

Did I break the record? Im genuinely curious.

Sorry to confound your lofty expectations. What you call a 'bitch session", my cronies (who love me very much by the way and think I am very lovable), and I call having a bit a fun with people who annoy the crap out of us by taking exception to pretty much everything we write.

In other words, it was a private joke and the bugger about private jokes is they are bound to have very little value to anyone other than to whom they were intended. That's pretty much their whole raison d'etre.

Did you break a record? Who knows? Nonetheless, I am impressed with your eagerness to put people offside so early in the game. Kudo's.

Im impressed by your ability to inflame the situation.

I never said you werent loveable. I never alluded to your lovability at all. Have you got something to prove?

You say if an insignificant blogger comments on an insignificant blog it wont bother you at all....Yet here we are.

I have finally begun to understand eighty percent of Orble content is private jokes. I will be more careful what I click on.

I was being a smart arse and referencing some other comments in some other posts which I thought you would recognise. I was trying to give you a little background on the point behind this post. Obviously I was being too ambiguous.

Hey Morgan, don't be so presumptuous! Jeff could be eating brains for breakfast, and who's to say those delicious specimens weren't once 'great minds'?

Personally, I'd rather feast on some great....
